Fitness Challenge
One of the most frequent questions we get from people considering participating in the Fit Company Challenge is “What does it take to be a contender?”
As a contender we expect that –
- You are a very busy person juggling work with life
- You generally live a healthy and fit lifestyle
- You promote and support living a healthy lifestyle to others
As a contender we do not expect that –
- You have 3-5% body fat
- You eat salads for breakfast, lunch, and dinner … with no dressing
- You can run a marathon, do 100 push-ups, and dead lift 2x your weight
This challenge is about committing to a fit lifestyle, inspiring other busy professionals to live fit and healthy, and having fun! We encourage anyone who makes fitness a priority or wants to be fit to take the challenge.
We put together a list of exercises that we recommend you are able to complete in order to participate in the challenge:
- Cardio vascular – Run/walk 2 miles in 24 minutes
- Upper body strength – Complete 10-12 push-ups in a row
- Abdominal strength – Hold a plank for 45 seconds
- Lower body strength – Sit on a wall in chair position for 30 seconds with arms raised
- Lower body strength – Complete 10 body weight squats in a row
If you can complete these minimum requirements, you will be able to complete the fitness challenge. Just by taking and completing the challenge you are proving that you work fit!
